I broke my left hand and my index finger is numb?
I broke my left hand from ice skating, but i cant go to the doctor, no questions asked. So i went on ahead and put a cast on because thats what the doctor did when i fractured my arm. Im not sure if its fractured or broken. I tried to sleep it off but instead, my index finger went numb. Why is this happening and what should i do?
You might have wrapped the hand too tightly. Wrapping any part of your body too tightly can cause it to have circulation cut off. Which, in turn, can cause numbness. Try re-wrapping your hand, and see how that feels. If things still don’t get better, you should go and see a doctor. Even if you have to pay out the a** for a visit, making sure you are healthy and well comes first. If your hand is messed up for the rest of your life, you will regret not making the right decision.
Also, if you actually dislocated a bone when it was broken, the bone marrow from inside your bones could escape into your blood stream, which can lead to serious complications, and in serious cases, death!!!
